The six teams will be competing for the top prizes as the tournament progresses through 34 exciting matches
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the prize money for the upcoming 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), which is set to begin on April 11.
The winner of this year's PSL will take home a prize of USD 500,000 along with the prestigious Luminara Trophy, while the runners-up will receive USD 200,000. The six teams will be competing for the top prizes as the tournament progresses through 34 exciting matches.
"The six teams will also be locking horns to take away the USD 500,000 prize money set for the winners, while the runners-up team will be awarded USD 200,000," the PCB said in a statement.
The tournament will kick off with a glittering opening ceremony, followed by the first match between defending champions Islamabad United and two-time champions Lahore Qalandars. The PSL will feature a total of 34 matches, running from April 11 to May 18.
Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium will host 13 of these matches, including two Eliminators and the grand final. Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium will hold 11 matches, including the first Qualifier on May 13. Karachi’s National Bank Stadium and Multan Cricket Stadium will each host five matches.
The tournament will also include three double-header days, with two scheduled for Saturdays and one on Labour Day, May 1.
This season, Babar Azam, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Rizwan, and Shaheen Shah Afridi will continue leading Peshawar Zalmi, Islamabad United, Multan Sultans, and Lahore Qalandars, respectively. Meanwhile, Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators will be led by new captains David Warner and Saud Shakeel.
