The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the creation of a new role, the Head of Youth Development, aimed at strengthening cricket development across the country. The PCB has initiated its search for suitable candidates to fill this crucial position.

The primary responsibilities of the Head of Youth Development will include overseeing cricket development programs from the Under-13 to Under-19 levels, working closely with regional academies, coaches, and cricket associations to identify promising talent. The role also involves building robust grassroots structures to scout young talent nationwide.

The PCB has outlined specific qualifications for candidates, requiring them to have played at least 50 Test matches or One-Day Internationals, along with Level 2 coaching accreditation.

Interested individuals have until October 24 to submit their applications. Notably, several renowned former cricketers are being considered for the role. Sources suggest that PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has recently engaged in discussions with former players regarding the position. Among the potential candidates, former Pakistan captain Azhar Ali has emerged as a strong contender for the job.
