The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has provided an update on the health of fast bowler Haris Rauf.

The board clarified that his injury is not serious, and he will be available for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

The PCB clarified that MRI and X-ray reports indicate Haris Rauf is suffering from a mild strain in the lower part of his chest.

“Following MRI and X-ray scans, it has been confirmed that Pakistan fast bowler Haris Rauf sustained a muscular sprain in the lower chest wall region during Saturday’s match against New Zealand,” PCB shared.

"As a precautionary measure, the fast bowler will not play in the match against South Africa on February 12 in Karach," PCB added in a statement.

It’s worth noting that Haris Rauf suffered the injury during the first match of the Tri-Series, while bowling in the 37th over against New Zealand. He was unable to complete his over and had to leave the field early.

The 31-year-old did not come out to bat as Pakistan suffered a tough 78-run defeat in the opening match of Tri-Nation series.
