The contract was signed between PCB COO Salman Naseer and Secretary of PSB Israrullah Faiz
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has signed an agreement with the Sports Board Punjab (SBP) to build 26 grounds in the province's central region.
Since Ramiz Raja's appointment as PCB Chairman, the former cricketer has remained adamant about improving the cricketing situation in Pakistan. In a bit to do that, special emphasis has been put on grassroots cricket.
PCB COO Salman Naseer and Secretary PSB Israrullah Faiz signed a contract which meant that the PCB will take over 17 grounds while SBP will be responsible for giving technical support on nine additional grounds.
Recently, PCB also initiated a new project called PJL - which will give opportunities to U-19 players to showcase their talent and stand a chance to be picked up by domestic teams. This is the first step toward providing a clear and concise blueprint for youngsters to succeed in the world of cricket.
The inaugural season of PJL is set to kick off on October 1 and will come to a close after two weeks on October 15.
