It has been revealed that Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is ready to release the players for Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) who have not been selected for the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) seventh edition.

However, the player themselves want to wait till 7th January for the draft where franchises will pick two additional players to complete their 20-man squads.

The PSL is set to commence from 27th January whereas the BPL competition will start days before that on 21st January.

Coincidentally, the PCB has opted to ignore this move from the Bangladesh board to hold their domestic tournament which collides with the PSL. On top of that, the board is allowing its players to also participate in the league.

One Pakistani player, on the promise of anonymity, spoke and said that all players are waiting for the two-player draft in January because everyone wants to feature in PSL as opposed to BPL. However, if they remain unselected then they will pursue the competition being held in Dhaka as they already have the offers.

It is worth mentioning that players such as Ahmed Shehzad, Usman Shinwari, Zahid Mehmood, Mohammad Irfan, Sohail Khan, and Junaid Khan are all sidelined as they remained unpicked during the draft phase which was held earlier last month.
