The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is considering shifting all the matches to the day-night format to avoid the scorching heatwave within the country.

It is worth pointing out that the ODI series was previously postponed due to the Covid-19 outbreak in the visitor's camp. The series will now be played in June on 8, 10, and 12.

According to the information, PCB is contemplating starting the matches at 5 pm instead of 2 pm due to the forecasted heatwave, which is expected to be deadly this time around.

The Met Office claimed that Rawalpindi and Multan are expected to hit above 40°C in the first week of June and the temperatures are expected to hit even higher later on.

In addition to this, the board is also going to be taking added precautionary measures such as extra drink breaks to combat the hot weather. Coolers are also expected to be installed in the players' dugouts.

There has been no official confirmation as of yet but the developments are expected to be implemented as it helps the players, ground staff members, and all those involved in the series in any capacity.
