The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is set to replace its Director of International Cricket, Usman Wahla, following dissatisfaction with his performance, according to sources. A former cricketer is expected to take over the position.

The decision comes in the wake of a public dispute between Wahla and former Pakistan fast bowler Wahab Riaz, which escalated on social media. The spat centers around a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for national team all-rounder Usama Mir, who reportedly faced difficulties in securing the document.

Wahab Riaz, who was a PCB consultant until a few weeks ago, openly criticized Usman Wahla, accusing him of ignoring multiple requests from Usama Mir regarding the NOC. Wahab claimed that Mir had made several attempts to contact Wahla, but received no response. In a social media post, Wahab said, “Screenshots and emails don’t lie, I will tell the full story.”

Wahla responded, denying the allegations and asserting that discussions with Usama Mir had taken place. He refuted Wahab’s claims as being one-sided. However, Wahab Riaz further threatened to release evidence, stating, “I have a lot to say. If anyone denies this, I will provide all the evidence.”
