Abdul Rahman will be supervising the training sessions in the national camp starting from April 7 for the series against New Zealand.

According to sources, Mickey Arthur is gearing up to make his comeback as the national team's consultant. It has also been contemplated that Arthur will bring Grant Bradburn as the head coach, Andrew Puttick as a batting coach, and Morne Morkel as a bowling coach into the coaching personnel.

However, due to the delay in the arrival of foreign coaches, local coaches will now work with the players in the aforementioned camp.

Bradburn and Puttick are expected to arrive on April 11.

When Bradburn arrives, he will take over the camp as head coach whereas Abdul Rahman will become his assistant coach. Rahman was appointed head coach for the Pakistan Shaheens’ team for their tour of Zimbabwe. However, he will now work with the national team for the time being.

Morkel is currently busy working as a bowling coach for Lucknow Super Giants in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL). Hence, Umar Gul, will continue as the bowling coach of Pakistan for the upcoming New Zealand series.

Rehman and Gul recently worked as Pakistan team’s head coach and bowling coach in the recently-concluded Afghanistan series.

Players have been instructed to report to the National Cricket Academy by tomorrow evening.
