The main goal of the camp is to create a shared vision and mission for Pakistan cricket
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has launched a high-level "connection camp" at a local hotel to create a unified vision for the future of Pakistan cricket. The camp, led by PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, aims to align the players and the board on a clear direction moving forward.
The day-long session includes nine top cricketers: Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Rizwan, Saim Ayub, Salman Ali Agha, Saud Shakeel, Shadab Khan, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Shan Masood. These players represent the core of Pakistan’s national team across different formats.
Key members of the coaching staff are also present, including head coaches Jason Gillespie and Gary Kirsten, assistant coach Azhar Mahmood, and High-Performance specialist David Reid. Their participation is crucial for developing strategies and ensuring that the players have the support they need to succeed.
The main goal of the camp is to create a shared vision and mission for Pakistan cricket and to set a clear path for restoring the pride and excellence associated with the team since they achieved Test status in 1952. The PCB hopes to improve collaboration between players and the board and to strengthen its support for the players’ growth and development.
This initiative also aims to inspire young cricketers by having the senior players take on leadership roles, setting an example through their performances on and off the field.
