Pakistan's opening batter Fakhar Zaman has expressed frustration over skepticism regarding his illness, saying, "People still don't believe that I was unwell."

Speaking at a press conference at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, after Pakistan's first match against New Zealand in the tri-series, Fakhar admitted that getting out is always disappointing, but losing a match hurts even more.

However, he clarified that missing out on a century does not bother him.

Commenting on the stadium, Fakhar said, "Gaddafi Stadium has become the most beautiful stadium in Pakistan. We enjoyed sitting in the dressing room, and I’m sure the fans had a great time as well."

He credited New Zealand for their victory, acknowledging that their spinners dominated the game. "It was their day. Kane Williamson and Daryl Mitchell batted well, and Glenn Phillips played an excellent innings in the end," he added.

Looking ahead, Fakhar stated that the team is excited for the Champions Trophy but is currently focused on the tri-nation series. He also backed skipper Babar Azam, saying, "Babar is a class player. One match doesn't define anything."
