Points table after Afghanistan thrash Uganda in T20 World Cup 2024

Afghanistan started their campaign in style as they secured a commanding victory over Uganda in the T20 World Cup match on Tuesday in Guyana.

This victory propels Afghanistan to the top of the standings with two points. Although co-hosts West Indies also have two points, Afghanistan leads the table due to their superior net run rate.

Group C’s next match is set for Wednesday, June 5, between Papua New Guinea and Uganda in Guyana.

The top two teams from each group will qualify for the super eights, which will feature 12 games, before the top two from each super eight group will qualify for the semi-finals. The final will be played in Barbados on June 29.
