Marco Jansen stars with the ball as South Africa register 7 wickets win over England
The last match of Group B concluded on Saturday at National Bank Stadium in Karachi, where South Africa secured a dominant 7-wicket victory over England in the ICC Champions Trophy.
This win takes South Africa to the semi-finals, finishing in first place in the points table with five points.
Their next challenge will be against India or New Zealand in the semi-final, as the victorious team will then advance to the final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
On the other hand, England’s Champions Trophy campaign has ended without a win. The last group-stage match is set for tomorrow, Sunday, March 2, between India and New Zealand in Dubai.
The loser of that match will face South Africa in the semi-finals of the Champions Trophy.
The winners of each semi-final will face off in the final, which is scheduled to be held at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on March 9. If India qualifies for the final, it will be moved to Dubai.
