South Africa extended their winning streak by clinching a 16-run victory over the United States in their T20 World Cup 2024 Super 8 match at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium on Wednesday.
The Proteas' bowlers played a pivotal role in defending the 195-run target, with Kagiso Rabada standing out for his exceptional bowling performance, taking 3 wickets for just 18 runs in his four overs.
Following this victory, South Africa now sits at the top of the Group 2 points table with two points. The USA, having played one match and lost it, has zero points. England and the West Indies have yet to play any matches in this stage of the tournament.
Looking ahead, South Africa will take on England in St. Lucia on Friday, 21 June 2024. Later that day, the USA will face off against the West Indies in Barbados and will aim for their first points. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semifinals.
