This win places Uganda third on the points table with two points from two matches. Their upcoming game is against the co-hosts, West Indies, on Saturday in Guyana. Meanwhile, Papua New Guinea, still seeking their first win after two matches, will face Afghanistan next Thursday in Trinidad.
The top two teams from each group will qualify for the super eights, which will feature 12 games, before the top two from each super eight group will qualify for the semi-finals. The final will be played in Barbados on June 29.
