Points table after West Indies beat USA in T20 World Cup 2024

West Indies clinched a crucial nine-wicket victory over the USA in their second Super Eight match of the T20 World Cup 2024 on Friday.

The co-hosts, West Indies, secured their first win in the Super Eight phase after defeating the United States of America in their match. Shai Hope led the charge with a blistering unbeaten 82 off 39 balls, featuring four boundaries and eight towering sixes.

On the same day, South Africa clinched a crucial seven-run victory over England in their second Super Eight match of the mega-event.

The Proteas, continuing their impressive form from the group stage, secured their second consecutive win in the Super Eight phase after a hard-fought match against the United States of America. Quinton de Kock's explosive batting and the team's disciplined bowling have been the pillars of their success.

West Indies, currently in the second position in Group 2 with two points, will look to bounce back and confirm their spot in the tournament's semi-final round when they face South Africa in their final group match on June 23 in Antigua. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semifinals.
