Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has invited bids for the Pakistan Junior League's (PJL) franchise team rights as possible city names have been revealed.

A total of 12 cities have been shortlisted out of which six cities will be finalized after the teams will be acquired by different parties.

The cities include Abbottabad, Bahawalpur, Gwadar, Gujranwala, Hyderabad, Mardan, Muzaffarabad, Rahim Yar Khan, Rawalpindi, Sialkot, Sukkur, and Ziarat.

PCB has refrained from adding major city names which are part of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

It must be noted that the first-ever junior franchise T20 tournament will be played from October 1 to 15 at the historic Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

Recently, PCB also confirmed mentors for the league. Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Malik, Daren Sammy Imran Tahir, and Colin Munro will be team mentors while legendary batter Javed Miandad is appointed as the league mentor.
