The excitement for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is building up, with the deadline for submitting preliminary squads just around the corner. Teams must submit their initial squads by January 12, 2025, and they have until February 11 to make any changes to the squads without needing approval from the ICC. After February 11, any modifications will require the ICC Technical Committee’s approval.

The Champions Trophy will begin on February 19 in Karachi, and it will be a thrilling month of cricket. The tournament will run until March 9, with matches played across three venues in Pakistan—Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi—and some key matches also taking place in Dubai.

As part of the preparations, England has already announced their final squad for the tournament. Their squad includes players like Jos Buttler (captain), Jofra Archer, Joe Root, and Mark Wood, setting the stage for a highly competitive contest.

The tournament will feature eight teams, divided into two groups. Group A consists of Pakistan, India, New Zealand, and Bangladesh, while Group B has Afghanistan, South Africa, England, and Australia. Pakistan, as the host nation, will play the opening match against New Zealand on February 19 in Karachi. The much-anticipated match between Pakistan and India will take place on February 23 in Dubai.
