The preparations for the ICC Champions Trophy are in full swing as Gaddafi Stadium undergoes a massive transformation. The iconic venue is being adorned like a bride, with new modern seating installations now fully completed.

In a record-breaking four-month period, the stadium has been revamped with state-of-the-art facilities, making it one of the most advanced cricket venues in Pakistan's history.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has invited the workers involved in the Gaddafi Stadium’s upgrade to watch a match of the Tri-Nation Series on February 8.

Naqvi visited Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore for a detailed inspection and met with the workers, praising them for their hard work and dedication. He congratulated them for their round-the-clock efforts and personally invited them to watch the upcoming match, saying, “I will sit with you and watch the match.”

During his visit, the PCB chairman took a seat in the new stands to admire the stadium’s view. He also inspected the newly built dressing rooms, hospitality boxes, and various other sections of the stadium.

Naqvi shared that the official opening of the newly upgraded Gaddafi Stadium would take place in the first week of February. He expressed pride in the work done, saying, “Our entire team worked tirelessly to make the impossible task possible. The Champions Trophy tournament is an honor for Pakistan, and we will continue to enhance our country’s reputation.”

He further added, “For the first time in Pakistan’s history, we have developed a stadium equipped with the most modern international facilities. Both players and cricket fans will be able to enjoy these new amenities.”

The Tri-Nation Series will start on Saturday, February 8, with the final match scheduled for Friday, February 14.
