A petition has been filed seeking the arrest of India’s skipper Virat Kohli in the Madras High Court for the charge of promoting gambling. The petition also seeks the arrest of Indian actress Tamannah for the same charge.

The petition was filed by a Chennai based advocate who is urging the court for a ban on online gambling apps which, according to the petitioner, is getting the young generation addicted to gambling.

The petition clarifies that celebrity endorsements such as that of Kohli and Tamannah portray gambling as an exciting activity.

As per reports in Times Now, the petitioner wants both the stars to be sent behind the bars for promoting gambling.
