The categories for foreign players in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 draft have been unveiled.

In the platinum category, Australia’s left-handed opener David Warner, Matthew Short, Sean Abbott, Mark Chapman, Mustafizur Rahman, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, and Shakib Al Hasan are registered.

Other players in the platinum category include Chris Lynn, Daryl Mitchell, Adam Milne, Tim Southee, Kusal Mendis, David Willey, Usman Khawaja, Zak Crawley, Jason Roy, Michael Bracewell, and Alex Hales.

A total of 40 foreign players are in the platinum category, with 6 foreign players available exclusively for selection in this category.

Players who do not get selected in the platinum category will be available in the diamond and gold categories. Australia’s wicketkeeper-batter Alex Carey is part of the diamond category.

In total, 87 foreign players are available in the diamond category for the PSL draft, while 165 foreign players are registered in the gold category for PSL 10.

It is worth noting that the PSL 10 draft is scheduled for January 11. Initially, the PCB had announced that the draft would be held in Gwadar, but due to logistical issues, the draft is now planned to take place in Lahore. A formal announcement is expected soon.
