James Vince played a sensational knock to help Karachi Kings chase down a massive target of 235 and defeat Multan Sultans by four wickets in a high-scoring clash at the National Bank Stadium on Saturday.

Chasing 235, Vince led from the front with an outstanding 101 off just 43 balls, hitting 14 fours and four sixes. His explosive innings set the tone for Karachi’s chase, making it one of the most exciting matches of the season so far.

He built a match-winning 142-run partnership with Khushdil Shah, who also played a key role with a quickfire 60 off 37 deliveries, including five fours and four sixes.

Both batters were dismissed in the quick succession, with the Kings still needing runs to win. But Irfan Khan and Abbas Afridi held their nerves, guiding the team home with a smart finish. Karachi reached the target on the second ball of the final over, finishing at 236/6.

Earlier, Tim Seifert gave the Kings a quick start, scoring 32 from just 16 balls with two boundaries and three sixes.

From the bowling side, Akif Javed stood out for Multan Sultans with three wickets, while Usama Mir and Michael Bracewell picked up one each.

Put in to bat first, Multan Sultans posted a massive 234/3 in their 20 overs, thanks to a captain’s knock from Mohammad Rizwan, who remained unbeaten on 105 off 63 balls. His innings included nine fours and five sixes.

Rizwan was supported by several key partnerships — first with Usman Khan (19 off 15), then Kamran Ghulam, who scored a handy 36 off 19 balls. The final push came from Michael Bracewell, who smashed 44 not out off just 17 balls, helping add an unbeaten 89-run stand for the fourth wicket.

Despite a solid bowling effort by Hasan Ali, Abbas Afridi, and Khushdil Shah, who picked up one wicket each, Karachi Kings had to chase a tough total — and did so in style.

With this win, Karachi Kings earned two points and currently sit at the third of the PSL 10 points table. Meanwhile, Multan Sultans find themselves at the fourth after their opening match.
