Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 match between Lahore Qalandars and Quetta Gladiators was abandoned due to bad weather at the Gaddafi Stadium on Thursday, with both teams sharing a point each.

This match held great importance, as both Qalandars and Gladiators were looking to challenge defending champions Islamabad United for the top spot on the points table. However, the washout meant both teams remained in second and third place respectively, now with nine points each.

Lahore Qalandars are set to face Karachi Kings in their next fixture on Sunday, while Quetta Gladiators will take on Islamabad United on Saturday.

Earlier in the match, Quetta Gladiators won the toss and opted to bowl first. Qalandars got off to a shaky start when Fakhar Zaman was dismissed for a duck by Khurram Shahzad in the very first over.

Despite the early blow, Abdullah Shafique and Mohammad Naeem built a strong partnership, putting together 102 runs for the second wicket. Naeem scored a quickfire 50 from 30 balls, hitting three fours and four sixes, before falling to spinner Abrar Ahmed.

Daryl Mitchell followed soon after, dismissed by Abrar for just 3 runs. By the time play was halted due to a sudden dust storm, Qalandars were 111/3 in 11.3 overs. The weather worsened as light rain followed the storm, eventually leading to the match being called off.

Abdullah Shafique remained not out on 53 off 32 balls, including three fours and three sixes. For the Gladiators, Abrar Ahmed picked up two wickets, while Khurram Shahzad took one.

With weather cutting the contest short, both teams walked away with a single point in what could prove crucial for the playoff race.
