Peshawar Zalmi captain, Babar Azam, achieved another milestone in HBL PSL on Monday as he became the first batsman to breach the 2500-run mark in the marquee tournament’s history.

The right-hand batsman achieved the aforementioned record by hitting Qais Ahmed for a boundary in his innings against Quetta Gladiators at National Bank Cricket Arena, Karachi.

Babar played a match-winning 68-run knock from 46 balls against Kings to start the tournament on a high note.

Shoaib Malik (2023) and Fakhar Zaman (2020) are the only other batsmen to score more than 2000 runs in the league’s history.
