Quetta Gladiators fast bowler Mohammad Amir gave a weather update ahead of their match against Islamabad United in Rawalpindi in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) season nine on Saturday.

Amir posted on X (formerly known asTwitter) that it was currently raining in Islamabad. He expressed his hopes for clear skies to enjoy the game, lamenting the rain's timing just before their match against Islamabad United.

“It's raining in Islamabad right now, just when we have a match against them today. Rain, rain, go away, come again another day! Hoping for clear skies to enjoy the game,” Amir wrote on X.

However, rain might dampen the spirits as Rawalpindi braces for a double-header on Saturday.. The matches between Peshawar Zalmi vs Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United vs Quetta Gladiators are scheduled at Pindi Cricket Stadium.

According to The Weather Channel, there's a 100% chance of rain during the day with showers and thunderstorms expected. The night forecast isn't any better, with a 90% chance of rain.

Yesterday, both Rawalpindi and Islamabad experienced heavy downpours.

An official from the Met Office mentioned that there are high chances of rain with thunderstorms on Saturday, extending to the next two days. Saturday might see the worst impact of rainfall.
