PSL 9: Hafeez concerned over Saim Ayub's shot selection

Former cricketer Mohammad Hafeez has expressed concern over the shot selection of young talent Saim Ayub following his performance in PSL 9.

Speaking on a local sports channel, Hafeez highlighted the importance of diversifying one's range of shots and avoiding over-reliance on a single favorite shot.

"Sometimes your favorite shot becomes your weakness too. Today, it was his [Saim's] favorite shot and he got out on it," Hafeez said.

Hafeez emphasized the need for Saim to broaden his batting repertoire and explore different options rather than solely focusing on one particular shot. 

"I think Saim needs to see that focusing only on one shot isn't allowing him to play other good options well. He needs to pay attention to his range of shots," he further added.

Despite acknowledging Saim's potential, Hafeez underscored the necessity for the young cricketer to prove himself in various aspects of the game. 

"He's got good potential, but he needs to prove a lot of things," he concluded.
