Multan Sultan’s Iftikhar Ahmed has been fined five percent of his match fee for a Level 1 breach of the HBL PSL code of conduct during a match against Quetta Gladiators on Tuesday.

Iftikhar was found to have violated Article 2.5 of the HBL PSL Code of Conduct, which pertains to using language, actions, or gestures that could provoke an aggressive reaction from a batter upon their dismissal.

The incident occurred during the third over of Quetta Gladiators’ batting when Iftikhar used inappropriate language towards the dismissed batter.

As Iftikhar admitted to the charge and accepted the proposed sanctions, no formal hearing was required. The charge was imposed by on-field umpires Rashid Riaz and Richard Illingworth.
