Charles made the journey from Dhaka to Karachi following his team Comilla Victorians' defeat in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) final against Fortune Barishal on Friday
West Indies batter, Johnson Charles, joined the Multan Sultans’ squad on Saturday ahead of their Pakistan Super League (PSL) season nine clash against Karachi Kings, which will be played at the National Bank Stadium on Sunday.
Charles made the journey from Dhaka to Karachi following his team Comilla Victorians' defeat in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) final against Fortune Barishal on Friday.
Unfortunately, Charles had a challenging BPL season, managing only 50 runs in four innings. Despite this, his arrival brings the experience of being part of the West Indies team that secured the 2016 T20 World Cup.
Notably, he holds the distinction of being the fastest Caribbean batter to achieve a T20I century, achieving this milestone in just 39 balls against South Africa in 2023.
As Multan Sultans strive for their second PSL title after their triumph in 2021, they are currently leading the PSL 9 points table with 10 points under the leadership of Mohammad Rizwan. Charles' inclusion adds depth to the team, and his contribution could play a crucial role in their quest for success in the ongoing PSL season.
