Lahore Qalandars have enlisted the services of Sam Billings to fill in for Rassie van der Dussen in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) season nine.

Dussen is set to play his final match for Lahore Qalandars against Islamabad United in the tournament on Wednesday.

The South African cricketer, who featured in eight PSL 9 matches, is departing to participate in Cricket South Africa's domestic T20 tournament, the CSA T20 Challenge.

Similarly, Tabraiz Shamsi is also departing for the same event, leading Karachi Kings to enlist Imran Tahir as his replacement.

Dussen displayed impressive form during his stint with Lahore Qalandars, amassing 300 runs in six matches with an impressive average of 75. Notably, he showcased his batting prowess with an outstanding unbeaten knock of 104 against Peshawar Zalmi. However, despite his contributions, Lahore Qalandars have faced challenges, losing six games, with one match being washed out.

Shamsi played four matches for Kings this season and picked up only three wickets.
