Shane Watson could not become the most expensive coach in Pakistan, despite being offered a monthly salary of more than four crore rupees (equivalent to two million dollars annually). However, he did manage to achieve this distinction to some extent during the HBL PSL.

According to sources, Quetta Gladiators paid him a fee of $150,000. In Pakistani rupees, this amount is approximately 4 crore and 20 lakh rupees.

During the event, Shane Watson stayed in Pakistan for 28 days, thus earning a daily fee of 15 lac rupees. Despite this, the team's performance could not undergo a positive change. Although they managed to reach the playoffs, they faced the worst defeat in the first match.

Furthermore, questions were also raised about Watson's coaching style as he conceded to several issues. It is highly unlikely that he will become the head coach of Quetta Gladiators in the next HBL PSL as well.

Former West Indian star Vivian Richards used to receive up to $100,000 as a mentor for Quetta Gladiators in the past, but his compensation was reduced to $75,000 after COVID.

Former coach and current team director Moin Khan initially had a contract of $50,000. He used to receive an additional $10,000 each upon reaching the playoffs and then the final. Team owner Nadeem Omar has always had a good reputation for paying players and coaches their dues.
