Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchises are not on the same page over the matter of Pakistan Junior League (PJL).

Many franchises have expressed interest in the league, while some have reservations. A meeting of team owners and representatives took place in which concern was also expressed over the non-holding of the governing council meeting.

According to the details, PJL is the dream project of Chairman PCB Ramiz Raja and its first edition has already been announced to be held in October.

The PCB had issued an expression of interest advertisement for the event some time back, in which several PSL franchises also participated.

According to the sources, three teams were also interested in buying PJL franchises, but now one of them has changed its mind. Some owners also expressed concerns over the junior league that it could harm the brand of PSL.

During the meeting, they opined there should be only one league in the country. They also discussed that there is opposition for the league on one side while some intend to buy teams.

The owners want to write a joint letter to the PCB to convey their concerns regarding the junior league, but before that they all need to be on the same page.

It was also discussed in the meeting that either all PSL franchises should take teams in PJL or none should take. A decision in this regard will be taken soon.

On the other hand, the team owners are very upset because the PSL Governing Council meeting has not been held in last ten months. In the past few days, progress was made, but now there is complete silence. Chairman Ramiz Raja is also in England these days due to ICC meetings.
