The much-anticipated 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is set to begin today, with a colorful opening ceremony scheduled at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

The festivities will kick off at 7 PM, featuring electrifying performances by renowned artists including Abida Parveen, Ali Zafar, Abrar-ul-Haq, Natasha Baig, Talha Anjum, and the Young Stunners. A dazzling fireworks display will also light up the sky to mark the beginning of the tournament.

A high level of security has been arranged for the event, while the hot weather is expected to pose an added challenge throughout the league.

Several prominent cricketing figures will be part of the commentary panel this season, including former England captain Sir Alastair Cook, Pakistan legend Wasim Akram, and former MCC president Mark Nicholas.

The opening match of PSL 10 will be played tonight at 8:30 PM between defending champions Islamabad United and two-time winners Lahore Qalandars at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

As per the schedule, the qualifier will be held in Rawalpindi on May 13, followed by the first eliminator in Lahore on May 14. The second eliminator is set for May 16, also in Lahore, while the grand final will take place at Gaddafi Stadium on May 18.

Islamabad United has won the PSL title three times (2016, 2018, and 2024), while Lahore Qalandars have clinched it twice (2022 and 2023). Peshawar Zalmi won in 2017, Quetta Gladiators in 2019, Karachi Kings in 2020, and Multan Sultans in 2021.
