Punjab Police have commenced preparations for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. According to police officials, 12,564 officers and personnel will be deployed for matches scheduled in Lahore and Rawalpindi.
Officials stated that 7,618 personnel will be on duty for matches in Lahore, while 4,535 officers, including 411 from the Special Branch, will oversee security in Rawalpindi.
The police emphasized that aerial monitoring will be conducted during the matches, with additional support from the Army and Rangers to ensure security.
Punjab Police confirmed that all players will be given the status of state guests. The security plan will soon be finalized, with Safe City cameras monitoring all routes.
The ICC Champions Trophy matches in Pakistan are set to begin on February 17. In Lahore, matches are scheduled for February 22 and 27, while Rawalpindi will host a match on February 25.
The group stage matches of the ICC Champions Trophy will be held in Lahore on February 22, 26, and 28, and in Rawalpindi on February 24, 25, and 27.
