Saud Shakeel will not only lead the team but also take on the role of an opener
Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Quetta Gladiators have decided to appoint Saud Shakeel as their new captain.
According to sources, Saud Shakeel will not only lead the team but also take on the role of an opener. The management plans to move forward with the combination of Saud Shakeel and head coach Moin Khan for the 2025 season.
The Gladiators ended their contract with Shane Watson a year earlier than planned, as he was unable to join them for PSL Season 10 due to personal commitments.
Sources further revealed that Moin Khan will serve as the team’s head coach, while Sarfaraz Ahmed is likely to be appointed as the director of cricket.
Currently, Sarfaraz is the mentor for the Champions Cup, but he is eligible to work with the PSL franchise.
