Former Pakistan cricketer Ramiz Raja has accused the current administration of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), led by management committee chairman, Najam Sethi, of attempting to create division among the players.
In an interview with a local TV channel, he stated that Babar Azam holds the belief that those who perform well should be given a chance to prove themselves.
“PCB administration is trying to sow the seed of discord among the players,” Raja said.
“Babar Azam believes that every player should have the opportunity to be a part of the team and those who perform well should be given a chance,” he added.
Raja also said that the concept of a neutral venue is not a viable option and cannot lead to the resumption of bilateral cricket matches between India and Pakistan.
“Opting for a neutral venue, would not be beneficial for Pakistan,” he said.
The 60-year-old expressed his frustration for not being included in the commentary panel for Pakistan matches and attributed it to Sethi's stubbornness.
