Former Pakistan captain Ramiz Raja is disappointed after the sudden postponement of Pakistan Super League (PSL) season six.

While speaking on his official YouTube channel, Raja felt deceived and considered it a big loss for all the stakeholders.

“There is anger, frustration, and disappointment as if you have been deceived. There is such a feeling with PSL. 25 days sacrifice was needed for PSL out of 365 days but we could not give it. It’s a collective massive failure. Stakeholders had a big loss and the PCB’s credentials got affected,” said Raja.

“As the world is no longer afraid of Pakistan’s security point of view, now they were watching, how will you organize such a massive event amid Covid-19? What will be the protocols, will there be any breaches, so in that regard, it is a massive hit because Australia is waiting in the wings to come to Pakistan for playing a three Test match series, what will they think? Like this England is also going to come for a tour and what will they think now. These were the things on which attention was required,” he added.

He also opened up about how this will affect the youngsters and players looking to make a comeback.

“The second-biggest loss in this situation is of the youngsters. We saw a lot of youngsters, especially pace bowlers in this year’s PSL. So, Shahnawaz Dhani will question and it is an absolute just question that I did not breach any protocol, I followed the rules, so what’s my fault that I won’t be able to show my skills now?” he said.

“It is also a matter of wondering that what can be the impact of your wrong move, you can ruin someone’s career, many of the players were looking to make a comeback through PSL but you halted their opportunities because of your stupidity. So it is worth thinking that PSL is not a neighborhood brand, it is a world brand and it was watched all around the world. Suddenly because of the stupidity of 2 or 3 people the whole tournament drowned,” he concluded.
