After his team’s dominant 39-run victory, which took them to the SA20 final, Rashid expressed his pride in achieving this milestone. He also described it as a great honor to surpass someone he considers one of the best.
“It's a great achievement,” Rashid said in an interview after the match.
“I never thought about it. If you had asked me 10 years ago if I would get here, I would not have believed it. It's a proud feeling to be from Afghanistan and to be at that level where you top the table. DJ [Bravo] is one of the best T20 bowlers. It's a great honor, and I'm looking forward to continuing,” Rashid concluded.
