Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf's fiery spell goes in vain as London Spirit defeats Welsh Fire by three wickets in The Hundred Men's 2024 competition on July 31.

Welsh Fire, after being put to bat first, struggled against the disciplined bowling attack of London Spirit, managing to score only 94 runs for the loss of nine wickets. Luke Wells was the standout performer for Welsh Fire, scoring a quickfire 23 runs off just 8 balls, including two fours and two sixes.

London Spirit's Liam Dawson delivered a brilliant spell, taking three wickets for just 10 runs in his 20 balls.

Haris Rauf was instrumental in causing this collapse, delivering a fiery spell that saw him dismiss key batsmen Dan Lawrence (29), Ravi Bopara (2), and Andre Russell (0). Rauf's spell ended with figures of 3 wickets for 20 runs from 17 balls.

Matt Henry complemented Rauf's efforts, claiming three wickets for 19 runs in his 20 balls. Despite their combined brilliance, London Spirit managed to chase down the target with 13 balls to spare, finishing at 96 for 7.

The match-winning knock came from Shimron Hetmyer, who scored a vital 30 runs off 21 balls, including two fours and two sixes, guiding his team to victory.
