Razzaq claims Misbah is likely to take charge of Pakistan team again

Former Pakistan cricketer, Abdul Razzaq, has voiced his apprehensions regarding the current state of affairs within the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). 

In an interview with a local media channel, Razzaq expressed his concerns over the frequent changes in PCB's leadership, stating that it disrupts the planning process and hinders decision-making.

"See, the current situation in PCB is quite unstable, sometimes one chairman is coming, sometimes another chairman is coming, and this disrupts the planning a little," Razzaq said.

"Now, with the recent change in PCB's chief, I understand that they are unable to make any decisions right now. However, I feel that Misbah-ul-Haq has a good chance of taking charge of the Pakistan team again," he added.

It is worth noting that former Pakistan captain, Misbah-ul-Haq, assumed the dual role in September 2019, where he took on the responsibilities of team selection and coaching. 

Following Pakistan's inability to secure a semi-final spot in the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2019, under the guidance of Mickey Arthur, Misbah was appointed as the coach for a three-year term a few months later.

However, after Ramiz Raja became chairman of PCB in September 2021, Misbah decided to step down as head coach of the Men in Green.
