Fawad managed 33 runs in four innings of three Tests against Australia, scored 25 runs in his only Test in Sri Lanka
Chief Selector Mohammad Wasim has announced the 18-men Pakistan squad for the home Test series against England later in December.
Many players, including Yasir Shah and Fawad Alam, are excluded from the national side based on their performances.

Fawad managed 33 runs in four innings of three Tests against Australia, scored 25 runs in his only Test in Sri Lanka.
During the ongoing Quaid-e-Azam trophy, Fawad Alam has scored 470 runs in 9 Test matches with an average of 47.00.
Chief Selector also replied to a question about Fawad Alam being dropped from the Test squad, " I have seen current performances of these players."
Being unable to perform for his side in recent Test matches, Yasir shah is also out of form while representing Balochistan in the ongoing Quaid-e-Azam trophy.
Despite taking a 10-wicket haul against the title defender Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the leg spinner managed to take 14 wickets in his seven matches with an average of 50.57.
Many analysts are questioning that, with this type of non-consistent performance by Yasir Shah (36) and Fawad Alam (37), is it the end of their careers?
The three Tests are part of the ICC World Test Championship and are scheduled to be played in Rawalpindi (1-5 December), Multan (9-13 December) and Karachi (17-21 December).
