Kamran stated that he does not praise his brothers, including Babar, as he wants the world to recognize their achievements
Wicket-keeper batter Kamran Akmal has responded to critics who have accused him of not publicly praising his younger cousin and top batter Babar Azam.
During a press conference, Kamran stated that he does not praise his brothers, including Babar, as he wants the world to recognize their achievements.

"It's not like the way it is portrayed. Actually, I try not to praise my brothers, be they Umar, Adnan, or Babar. I want the world to praise them," he said.
"Babar is an outstanding player. I don't think we have such things in our minds. I want him to continue performing," he added.
Kamran also confirmed during the press conference that he is now retired from all cricket forms and will focus on new roles within the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
"Everyone has to retire one day or another. Obviously, I will not be playing cricket anymore due to new roles in PCB," responded Kamran, who was named to the national men’s selection committee alongside Yasir Hameed and Mohammad Sami, with Haroon Rashid as chairman.
"I will be playing small leagues, but that too depends on my responsibilities in a new role given to me by PCB," he added.
Kamran Akmal is now currently serving as a batting mentor for Peshawar Zalmi for the ongoing 8th edition of the Pakistan Super League.
Reminder for all is that Kamran last played the longest-format game against England at Lord's way back in 2010.
