The series, originally set for five matches in Faisalabad and Lahore, has been reduced to three games, with Faisalabad removed as a venue
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) are expected to hold a three-match T20I series in Lahore between May 27 and 31, according to recent developments.
Initially planned as a five-match series across Faisalabad and Lahore, the tour has reportedly been shortened to three games, with Faisalabad no longer included as a host venue.
Sources suggest that hesitation within the Bangladesh squad led to uncertainty over the tour. To address the situation, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi traveled to Dubai for meetings with BCB officials. After extended discussions, both boards appear to have reached a mutual understanding to proceed with a revised, shortened series.
Tentative schedule for Pakistan-Bangladesh T20I series:
Pakistan has dominated past T20I encounters between the two sides, winning 16 of 19 matches. Their last meeting came during the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 in Adelaide.
An official announcement from the PCB is awaited to confirm the final schedule.
