Multan Sultans' skipper Mohammad Rizwan shared his thoughts following his team's defeat against Islamabad United in the PSL 9 final.

Speaking in the post-match ceremony, Rizwan credited Imad for his outstanding performance and acknowledged Islamabad's strong gameplay.

“If the match goes to last ball, you can't really point out any flaw. Credit to Imad for picking a fifer and scoring those crucial runs,” Rizwan said.

Rizwan noted that the interruption in momentum caused by the gap after the Qualifier wasn't an excuse, but he acknowledged Islamabad's strong performance.

“When you have momentum then you want to just keep playing but the gap [after the Qualifier] breaks the momentum, it isn't an excuse but we can say they [Islamabad] played really well," he further added.

Furthermore, Rizwan expressed some dissatisfaction with his own batting performance but reaffirmed his availability to bat in any position for Pakistan.

“I'm not quite satisfied with my batting, I'm always available for Pakistan to bat any position," Rizwan said.

Lastly, Rizwan congratulated Islamabad on their victory and expressed his enjoyment of playing in front of a packed stadium.

“Congratulations to Islamabad and it was fun to play tonight in front of a packed house," he concluded.
