Indian cricket captain Rohit Sharma has allegedly filed a complaint with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) against legendary cricketer and commentator Sunil Gavaskar, according to a report.

The report claims that Rohit was unhappy with Gavaskar’s negative remarks about his recent poor form against Australia. Rohit managed only 31 runs in three Test matches before opting out of the final Test in Sydney.

Gavaskar, in his column for the Sydney Morning Herald, suggested that Rohit might step down from captaincy if he failed to score runs in Melbourne and Sydney, adding that he would not wait for selectors to make the decision.

A source quoted in the report stated that Rohit felt Gavaskar’s criticism was unnecessary and added extra pressure on him. He reportedly shared his concerns with the BCCI, expressing discomfort over external opinions influencing his performance.

Neither Rohit nor the BCCI has officially commented on the matter.
