Former Pakistan spinner Saeed Ajmal believes Hasan Ali should have been included in the Pakistan squad for the first Test against New Zealand, currently being played in Karachi.

In reply to Pakistan's 438, the visitors are quite confident in surpassing the score as they currently trail by less than 200 runs.

Before the first session's end, New Zealand openers Devon Conway (92) and Tom Latham (113) were dismissed, creating some room for Pakistan to ease down the pressure.

After seeing the Pakistan pacer's struggling with the ball, Saeed Ajmal stated that pacer Hasan Ali should have been part of the ongoing Test.

"Pakistan's batting is good these days instead of bowling. New Zealand batted brilliantly against Pakistan's new bowling attack as they are 165 for no loss. Just like England, New Zealand exposed Pakistan's bowling attack."

"All bowlers couldn't take a wicket. As I said before, Hasan Ali should've played the first Test as he has experience in 17-18 Tests. I don't know, but it's the decision of the new management and selection committee," Ajmal said on his official YouTube channel.

Ajmal also said that it will be quite difficult for Pakistan to take down the Kiwi batters easily.
