Saim Ayub, Azam Khan shine in CPL 2023 with stellar performance

Saim Ayub and Azam Khan led their team to a remarkable victory in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL), earning the former the man of the match award

Pakistan cricketers, Saim Ayub and Azam Khan, displayed fantastic performances in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) between Guyana Amazon Warriors and Trinbago Knight Riders on Tuesday.

Guyana Amazon Warriors won the toss and chose to field first. While batting first, Trinbago Knight Riders set up a target of 173 for the Warriors to chase.

In response, Pakistan's Saim Ayub played briskly and scored 62 runs off 43 deliveries, including four boundaries and four sixes. Saim's innings largely helped the Warriors to chase down the target. He was awarded 'Man of the Match' for his stellar performance.

The 21-year-old, so far in the Caribbean Premier League, has played five innings where he has scored 145 runs, constituting of 13 boundaries and nine sixes at a strike rate of 151.

Joining him was right-handed batter Azam Khan, who scored 29 runs off 14 deliveries. Azam came in to bat when 62 were needed off 6 overs. His innings of 29 runs included 2 fours and 3 sixes to help chase down the target with 5 balls to spare.

Other than this, Azam also took a phenomenal catch of Nicholas Pooran that grabbed everyone's attention.
