The stylish left-hand opener, Saim Ayub, is likely to make his T20I debut in the first match of the three-match T20 series against Afghanistan on Friday in Sharjah.

The 20-year-old took to his Instagram, to flaunt his Pakistan jersey and shared his thoughts on representing his country.

"I wanted you from the day one. I wanted to do everything to have you , now I've earned you so I promise I'll do everything to never let you down Pakistan. Keep supporting and Remembering in your prayers in this Holy month of Ramadan," Saim wrote on Instagram.

With Pakistan resting their regular T20I openers, Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, from the series, Saim is likely to partner Mohammad Haris as opener.

Saim made his way into the national team through his impressive performances in PSL season 8, where he scored 341 runs in 12 matches.
