Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Mohsin Naqvi, has stated that Saim Ayub’s future will not be put at risk for the Champions Trophy.
Speaking to the media in Houston, he shared updates on the injured opener, saying, “Saim Ayub’s plaster will be removed in a day or two.”
Naqvi emphasized that he is personally monitoring the player’s injury and remains in daily contact with him to ensure his recovery progresses smoothly.
Saim Ayub, Pakistan’s opening batter, has been sidelined from cricket for six weeks due to a fracture in his right ankle. The injury occurred while fielding on the first day of the second Test match against South Africa.
