Shaheens’ head coach, Aizaz Cheema, seems to be confident about the inclusion of Saim Ayub in the squad
Pakistan Shaheens’ top-order batter Sahibzada Farhan was ruled out of the Zimbabwe tour due to a right thumb injury. His subsequent replacement was Pakistan's left-handed batsman Saim Ayub for the respective tour.
Head coach, Aizaz Cheema, seems to be confident about the inclusion of Saim Ayub in the squad. He also expressed his excitement about coaching a zealous young squad stating that there is a thirst for victory in the boys in all of the matches that they shall play and this is what keeps them going as a unit.
"The team will benefit from the inclusion of Saim Ayub, who recently performed well for Pakistan and played amazingly well in the PSL," Cheema said.
Under Imran Butt’s leadership, Pakistan Shaheens have attained a clean-sweep over Zimbabwe A across the two four-day matches.
"I am contented on winning both the matches. Victory always gives you a sense of satisfaction, but there is also room for improvement in performance. There are some things that require improvement, which I have conveyed to the players. The boys were serious about winning and showcasing their best abilities. Now they will play against Zimbabwe in a One Day match and will try to maintain this winning streak," he said.
