An important decision regarding the return of Pakistan's young batter, Saim Ayub, will be made on Tuesday. The 22-year-old opening batsman has been away from international cricket since suffering an injury during the Cape Town Test against South Africa in January.

According to reports, Saim Ayub is currently undergoing rehabilitation under the supervision of Pakistani trainer Hanif Malik. British medical specialists will conduct a detailed medical assessment on Tuesday and will offer their opinions on Saim Ayub’s future. Based on their medical advice, a decision will be made regarding his participation in the 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), which begins on April 11.

It is worth noting that Saim Ayub has already started his training, and Hanif Malik, who is now based in London, is playing a key role in his rehabilitation. Hanif Malik, who had previously worked with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), is an expert in mental conditioning, advanced batting skills, and life skills.

Saim Ayub missed the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 due to a right ankle injury and is also unavailable for Pakistan's white-ball series against New Zealand.
