Pakistan Head Coach Saqlain Mushtaq has claimed that he is delighted with the performances of Men in Green and how they pushed to create history in the Karachi Test match against Australia.

While speaking to media via a virtual press conference, Saqlain heaped praises on the Pakistan cricket team for pulling off a near-impossible task against a formidable Australian bowling attack.

"History was made in the second Test against Australia and I am extremely proud of the way the whole team showed character," he said.

"The players made the impossible possible. I am proud of the way the whole team has made history," he added.

The Australians looked certain to take lead in the three-match Test series in the Karachi Test match but resilience from Abdullah Shafique, Mohammad Rizwan, and especially Babar Azam saw Pakistan earn an emphatic draw.

The Head Coach said it was something very special. “Defending over 1,000 balls was something very special.”

“Lots of people were thinking it was impossible, but all the players and support staff in the dressing room had a firm belief that we are not going to give this game to Australia,” he added.
